Christmas Gifts For Her

5 Beauty tools every woman needs

Hey loves <3

It’s almost Christmas and you’re probably getting ready to do some serious shopping for all of the gifts you’re going to give your family and friends.  Of course, you want to give them something that they would not only be able to appreciate but also be able to use. If you are thinking of what to give your female friends, check out the 5 beauty tools listed below. Any woman, regardless of age and stature, would always want to be beautiful. So you can be sure that they would be able to use any of the tools listed below.

1. Excellent makeup brushes  - did you know that it’s not just the makeup you buy that’s important? Many women think that if they buy the expensive makeup, that would be enough. But the application is just as important as the choice of the makeup itself, that’s why it is important to invest in quality cosmetic brushes. You might think it is expensive, but you’ll find that it really is a worthy investment. You can buy a basic set which will already include brushes for eyeshadow, eyeliner and even for your lips.

2. Tweezers – the great thing about tweezers is that they can be used for more than just plucking the unruly hair on your eyebrows. Your makeup may look flawless, but when you find you’re your brows are not groomed, the makeup would no longer look perfect, so having a tweezer can help complete your look. Aside from that, you can also pluck any stray hair found on your face. You can also use it to apply false eyelashes. This versatile tool should always be in every woman’s beauty kit.

3. Blow dryer – the hair is, of course always a part of a woman’s overall look. Even if you don’t have a lot of time in the morning to completely style your hair, even just blow drying your hair can produce a more polished look. Women not only use the hair dryer to dry their wet hair but even to set their hairstyles. While most women use their hairdryers at home, there are some models that are not small enough that you can carry them in your bag for a quick styling when needed or for when you are traveling.

4. Blackhead remover – blackheads are probably one of the banes of a woman who is serious about her beauty regimen. These blackheads appear when the skin ducts are blocked by sebum and usually appear like little black spots on one’s skin. There are several ways to remove it. Some just go to the dermatologist while others use peel-off masks or a blackhead removal tool.  For the latter, just make sure you read instructions on how to use it so that the skin won’t be further irritated.

5. Nail file – nails are as much a part of a woman’s beauty as their hair, so it’s essential that it always be kept clean and neat. To ensure that the nails are snag free and smooth, nail files should always be included in a woman’s beauty kit.

Let me know what is the beauty tool you always use :)

Have a lovely day <3

REVIEW: Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink

Hey loves :)

Since I heard many great reviews about the Maybelline super stay matte ink lipsticks, I decided to give them a go. I only bought one shade, to see what the hype is about ;) And let me tell you, I've been pleasantly surprised.

I got mine in shade 15 Lover. Finding a good matte and trasnfer proof liquid lipstick can still be a challenge even though liquid lipsticks are such a rave nowThe body of the tubes corresponds with the color of the actual product, but is not see through. It’s a nice minimalist design

It dries down completely matte, but stays slightly tacky throughout the day.  Directions state waiting 3 minutes after application for the lipstick to set, but if I press my lips together, even after the 3 minutes, it will stick together slightly.  However, once it sets, it is completely transfer-proof and lasts all day.  I found it does not budge through drinking and eating. Seriously, it survives my 8hour work and counting and it doesn't move.

The shade I chose - Lover is a trendy pink - mauve.

Based on my experience, I would rate the Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Lipsticks as 9/10 stars!

It is amazing quality, affordable, drugstore liquid lipstick.  The shade selection is beautiful, and the formula is so pigmented and long-lasting. I adore the flattering mauve that I bought and I'm sure I'll buy more shades. I was really impressed with this lippie and recommend adding it  to your liquid lipstick collection :)

- a little bit sticky

- lasts the whole day
- survives eating / drinking
- kiss proof
- nice colour selection

All in all I'm in love with it and I'm constantly using it. Going to grab some more for sure!

Hope you enjoyed, have you tried these lipsticks already? Let me know <3

REVIEW: Bellapierre Kiss Proof Lip Creme

Hey everyone!

Another post about the product I got in mine LookFantastic beauty box. We got a full size Bellapierre lip creme in various shades, I got mine in shade 40s Red. Bellapierre's answer to liquid lipsticks are these lip creams :)

You get 3,8g of product for a price of 20€ on Bellapierre's official website.

Ingredients: Isododecane, Beeswax, Cyclopentasiloxane, Hydrogenated Styrene/Isoprene Copolymer, Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol. May contain +/- {D&C Red No. 6 & 7, D&C Blue No. 1, Iron Oxides (CI 77491:2, CI 77491:9, CI 77492, CI 77499)}.

It has a standard doe foot applicator. It's very creamy, applies smoothly and dries to a beautiful matte finish. It has a fruity scent, but it goes away with time.

40s Red is a brick red colour and I'm usually not a big fan of reds. Don't get me wrong, I think they're beautiful and classy, but they just don't suit me. This one is an exception if I say so, because it almost hints a little bit on the dark violet side and violets flatter my skin tone.

It stays on very well, survives eating and drinking, plus it's kiss proof. It does however feels sticky and a little bit drying as well, but that's standard for liquid lipsticks.

- longwearing
- kiss proof, survives eating, drinking
- creamy and fully opaque in one swipe

- feels sticky
- fruity scent may bother some

All in all it's a nice liquid lipstick, lasts long and what's important to me - it's kiss proof and survives eating/drinking. The colour I got suits me and I think it's perfect for the festive December :)
